  • The Story so far...

Season 2006-07 was our first year back after a decade long absence from the Strathclyde Churches League. Intially the team struggled to find their feet. There were a few heavy defeats along the way but by Christmas, things seemed to take a turn for the better. We gained our first victory of the season with a 5-1 win over Sherwood-Greenlaw.

Although the performances were improving significantly, the second victory took it's time in coming. After a demoralising defeat to Dumbarton-Lennox, TPHD bounced back with a 3-1 win over Kilsyth. This marked the start of a winning streak, causing Possil to rise steadily up the table. Some memorable games were the 12-0 win over Parkhead and a nail biting end to the season with a 4-3 victory over Burnside Blairbeth (the winner coming from a penalty in injury time). As a result, we finished just inside the top half of the table in 7th place.

    Season 2007-08
This season started with a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Burnside who were out for revenge after the last meeting between the clubs. However the team continued on last season's form, going on a run of 8 games undefeated and are currently 3rd in the table.

  • Possil Finish 7th in the league

TPHD FC have finished 7th out of 14 teams in their first season in the 3rd division. Having only win one game going into Febuary, there has been a complete turn-around by the players. Of their last 14 games, Possil won an incredible 10 games while also drawing 1. This is evidence that they can win the league next year.
